Test setting of Antique Press (also known as Univers 59 bis) under development at the Deberny & Peignot typefoundry in Paris. It was probably used to evaluate sidebearings and has been annotated by Ladislas Mandel who worked with Adrian Frutiger on the design of Univers and who succeeded Frutiger as the foundry's director of typography.
From the archives of Ladislas Mandel (1921-2006) which the designer gifted to the Musée de l'imprimerie in 1995.
